Darq is an adventure game about a small boy who becomes aware he’s dreaming and learns to control the dream-world around him with physical and reality defining adjustments.
Need to head through that ominous door on the ceiling, just walk up the wall and let yourself in.
When Darq was first release don P.C, developer Unfold games made a bit of a name for themselves for refusing an exclusivity deal with Epic and instead of offering to give all it’s revenue from Epic store sales to charity.
It was a risky decision which certainly seems to have paid off with Darq getting a very positive response from over 1600 reviews on Steam.
On the 4th December Darq will finally release on Xbox, as the “Darq: Complete Edition”.
Including the two DLC packs released on home computers, The Tower and the Crypt.
People who buy the Xbox One version will also get a free upgrade to the Series X|S enhanced version once that’s released, although we don’t yet have a time frame or an exact list of enhancements.
here’s the official press release:
DARQ: Complete Edition is the complete version of Unfold Games’ award-winning spooky puzzle game, DARQ, which looks and feels like something straight out of a Tim Burton film.
DARQis a psychological horror that tells the story of Lloyd, a boy who finds himself in the middle of a lucid nightmare, unable to wake up. While exploring the darkest corners of his subconscious, Lloyd learns how to survive the nightmare by bending the laws of physics and manipulating the fluid fabric of the dream world.
In addition to the base game, DARQ: Complete Edition includes two DLC packs: The Tower, a mysterious structure filled with new puzzles and secrets, as well as The Crypt, the final content expansion of DARQ, twice as big as The Tower. It introduces the most challenging puzzles in the game, never-before-seen mechanics, new achievements, shocking twists, and big surprises.
Owners of the PC version of DARQ will be automatically upgraded to DARQ: Complete Edition for free at launch on December 4. Players who own DARQ: Complete Edition on Xbox One or PlayStation®4 will also get a free upgrade to the fully optimised, native Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5 versions upon their release.
